Izabela Iem

Bio:

Izabela Iem serves as the Associate Director for Global Academic Services. In her role she oversees faculty and staff employment visa services, faculty and staff permanent residency status services, Fulbright for scholars’ program, and the Exchange Visitor Program for J-1 Scholars, Professors, and Interns. Izabela collaborates with the Provost Office, Office of General Counsel, Human Resources Department and FAU Departments and Colleges requiring support and guidance on immigration matters.

Izabela holds a master’s degree in Education, Higher Education and Student Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Salem State University (SSU) in Massachusetts. Originally from Poland, Izabela relocated from Massachusetts to Florida and joined FAU in 2019 as an Assistant Director for International Admissions and Residency. In 2022 she assumed the role of Associate Director of Global Academic Services.  She brings over 15 years of experience in the field of international education with a focus on compliance, immigration, enrollment services and student support.
